Die drastisch formulierte Aufforderung von US-Präsident Donald Trump, protestierende NFL-Spieler zu entlassen, sorgt für Aufregung.
Auf Twitter hat sich der US-Präsident einmal mehr einen Shitstorm eingefangen. Auch aktive und ehemalige NFL-Spieler lassen ihren Unmut über den Auftritt Trumps freien Lauf.
"Ich kann nichts, was unser 'Celebrity in Chief' sagt, ernst nehmen. Er ist ein Real-Life-Clown/Troll", twittert etwa Bengals-Profi George Iloka. Auch Reggie Bush stößt in die selbe Richtung: "Defintion eines Clowns!".
Rishard Matthews, Wide Receiver der Tennesse Titans, ist fassungslos: "Ich bin ein voller Unterstützer unserer Flagge und dieses Landes. Glaubt mir! Aber das kann nicht wahr sein!"
Für viele Twitter-User ist Trumps Aussage ein Aufruf zur Einschränkung des Rechts auf freie Meinungsäußerung, die im ersten Zusatzartikel der Verfassung verankert ist.
