Reifenlieferant Pirelli will dafür sorgen, dass es in der nächsten Saison wieder mehr Boxenstopps in der Formel 1 gibt.

So soll die Charakteristik der Pneus wieder mehr jener der vergangenen Jahre ähneln, als sie extrem schnell abbauten. Dem Trend, dass die einzelnen Stints in die Länge gezogen werden, wolle man auf "angemessene" Art entgegenwirken, so Pirelli-Motorsportdirektor Paul Hembery.

Erste Versuche in diese Richtung soll es beim Test nach dem Saisonfinale in Abu Dhabi geben.
